It’s the unofficial dog park of the neighborhood. You can always find some dogs playing during the day. I would say it’s fairly safe and never too crowded. I wish it was better taken care of and had more grass. But it’s still really good to have a large area (especially for dogs) in the middle of Bushwick.

I’m pretty neutral to this park.
I absolutely love that it’s been empty in the morning. However, I don’t really go in if I see someone sleeping on the bench, or if I see someone that looks dazed out on the bench. I will say sometimes when I walk with little one around 7am, that’s when I see them, but around 8:30am and later they’re pretty much gone. I haven’t seen the sprinklers on in the morning either, probably because there’s barely traffic in the mornings? Also I have to hover over my child because God forbid she finds a needle, but other than that I love that it’s quiet and empty.
