Empire Fulton Ferry is a picturesque dog-friendly park in Brooklyn, New York, nestled along the East River between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. Renowned for its breathtaking Manhattan skyline and Brooklyn Bridge views, this scenic nine-acre green space is perfect for a relaxing stroll, enjoying waterfront picnics, or unwinding with your furry friend. Its beautiful lawns, lush greenery, and convenient location near Dumbo’s local shops and restaurants make it an ideal spot for locals and visitors looking for a tranquil escape.
Although not a dedicated dog run, dog owners often use a fenced yard next to the children’s playground to let their dogs play off-leash. Keep in mind this space is a makeshift dog area and may lack certain amenities, such as separate sections for small and large dogs, trash cans, or regular waste stations—bring your own bags and remain attentive for any hazards. There are benches and shady spots to relax, as well as paved paths for walkers and runners. The park’s cleanliness, stunning city views, and vibrant atmosphere make it one of the top pet-friendly destinations in Brooklyn.
