Located near the iconic Verrazano Bridge, Dyker Beach Dog Run is a beloved destination for pet owners in Brooklyn, New York. This dog-friendly park offers a massive open space where pups of all sizes can run, play, and socialize off-leash. The park is wheelchair accessible, has plentiful shade from large trees, and features a separate area for small and large dogs, making it a welcoming spot for both you and your furry friend.
Dyker Beach Dog Run provides thoughtful amenities such as water fountains and occasionally doggy pools during the summer, ensuring your pets stay hydrated and cool. While there are some picnic tables and seating areas, more seating could be beneficial. Free parking is available, and the atmosphere is friendly and community-focused. Just remember to bring waste bags, as they are not always provided. The park does get a bit dusty at times, so prepare for a quick clean-up after your visit!
Always such an amazing time! My Maya has a blast every chance we go and always finds some new friends to run with. I love the crowd here and everyone is very friendly.
The place is huge. There are two separate areas for big dogs and for smaller ones. There is a water fountain, and some seats here and there. I took one star off due to how dusty the place is. You’ll probably will need to wash your dog after time spent there. Beautiful trees right in front and Verrazano bridge can be seen.
Been taking my dog there . Very nice dog park BUT kids! Some dogs will chase kids when they running yelling and screaming. Why parents bring kids to a dog park? We do not bring dogs to kids play ground or parks. Please responsible parents STOP bringing your children to dog park especially when dogs get in to fight it is bad your kid can be in the middle of the fight and can get hurt!
It was my first time here and I must say it was pretty great! It’s a big open space plenty of shade ! Loved the doggie pool!
Only downside is not a lot of places to sit and they should have a lot more little pools and wet spots for the dogs in the summer!
They should also have available restrooms for the doggy parents!
Great dog park with lots of space for running and playing. Everyone was friendly and so were the pups. Keep an eye on your dog, it can get easy to get caught up in conversation with fellow fur baby parents. Water fountains available and hoses. Didn’t see any disposal bags around. Pretty good parking if you drive here.
