My oldest son lives across from Griggs Park and I love taking walks here in the morning when I visit here
Came here for the off-leash aspect. Besides the fact that the front gates don’t close and there are two entrances (so it’s not 100% fenced in) it’s an almost perfect spot. The entire thing is off-leash because it’s essentially one “big” 1/2 circle of land with a tiny playground in the center. It’s mostly a dog spot, but there were little kids in the playground which I loved because there is no fence around the playground – so everyone (dogs & humans) are in the same space. This location is off-leash from dawn to 1PM. Parking was super easy right in front of the park (unless I wasn’t supposed to park there which is always possible).PROs:Off-leash, clean, many dog/human friends, and parking.CONs:Isn’t fully fenced
Lovely park for families, dog owners and anyone wanting to get out walking. There is a paved 1/4 mile loop, play structure, swings, sand box and water fountain.
