Rooster (dog ) park was last year a nice 2 section dog park. I say ‘was nice’ because the area is big with water fountain and well kept. What a disappointment today!!! The large dog section full with piles of dog poop (small and large breed). You know dogs can get parasites from ingesting parasite eggs. The don’t even have to directly eat poop, they can pick them up just by walking through a contaminated field and them licking their paws while grooming. And alot Bristol pet owners don’t regularly keep up with vet visits. People, clean up after your pup and we all can enjoy this free and nice dog park. Don’t be gross.

Good free dog park. One side for small dogs, one side for larger dogs. Clean, grass with mulched areas around benches. Water spigot with hose and a bucket for drinking. My dog liked standing in the bucket, so she got a little wet. And of course she rolled in the mulch areas too, so thankfully there was the hose so I could wash her off. There is a dog entry pen and a separate exit pen close to the hose so that you can wash dogs off in there if you need to before you leave.

I talked to a local there who said they have kiddie pools in the summer, and there used to be a muddy area that has now been grassed over, so watch out in the wetter months. Overall a solid dog park with friendly dogs and people.
