Bark Park is a highly-rated dog park in Bristol, Tennessee, easily accessible at 1111 Vance Dr. This well-maintained, city-run park offers separate fenced areas for both small and large dogs, making it a favorite spot for pet owners searching for safe, dog-friendly spaces in Bristol. With its spacious grounds, friendly visitors (dogs and humans alike!), and fresh water supply available throughout most of the year, Bark Park stands out as a top choice for locals and travelers alike—just a 20-minute drive from the Virginia Welcome Center on I-81.
The park features benches, waste bag stations, and plenty of room for pups to run and play off-leash in a secure environment. While the water fountain and hose are sometimes unavailable during the winter and shaded seating is limited, Bark Park is known for its regular maintenance and cleanliness. Its proximity to a kids’ playground makes this location ideal for families—but be mindful that the playground noise may be too much for some sensitive pups. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Bark Park offers one of the best dog-friendly outdoor experiences in the Bristol region.
Nice big fenced in area for dogs to play. Separate spaces for small and big dogs. However, the gates are difficult to open and the water fountain doesn’t seem to work. It’s right next to the kids playground, and the loud screaming can be a bit much for some dogs.
Decently clean. Big and small dog areas. Benches and clean up bags. Dogs had a blast.

My dog slept in the car for the next hour .
Well maintained, fresh water supply, shade trees, large areas for both large and small dogs.
I’ve visited most of the dog parks in the area, and this is, by far, my favorite! The dogs and the people are amazingly friendly! The park is well maintained by the city.
My only complaint is the muddy areas caused by the water hose and the pools, no water during the winter because the city turns it off, and there are not enough shady spots to sit in.
