FAQ for City of Brevard Dog Park in Brevard North Carolina:
This is the best dog park in the area. It’s would be better with some bushes for the dogs to play in, and if we ever got the agility equipment. Every time I go there I’m glad we contributed.
Visited this dog park after going to the Pretty Place Chapel. It is a nice dog with a small and large side. Both sides had a covered area with sitting for the humans and both sides had water available with bowls for the dogs. There is also a gravel path to the pavilion. Large side had some balls along with a chuck it to throw the balls. Both sides did have doggy pick up bags as well. Only downside is there is no parking for the dog park, and you have to walk a little way to get to the park. Overall, a very nice dog park.
I love that there is lots of room for the dogs to run and play. Everyone here was kind and respectful, and all the dogs were closely monitored by their owners. Water, balls, and bags for clean up are available and well-stocked. There are separate areas for both large and small dogs. There is also a trail for walking and a nearby playground for children. I would recommend this park.
Definitely a fun place for dogs. The areas are divided into two…one for large dogs of over 25 pounds and the other for smaller ones. It was a bit muddy the day we went because of all the rain a few days prior. The dog didn’t seem to mind. 🙂 The area for big dogs is quite large. Great to play fetch. There were plenty of tennis balls laying around if you forget your ball, but they were kinda worn and nasty. Again, the dogs don’t seem to mind. There’s an area with a hose, place for drinking bowls, a covered place for owners to sit, but the best were the two fake fire hydrants. Cute.
The grass is so tall and unkempt that we’ll be doing a tick check before getting back in the car for sure! It’s also a bit difficult to find the dog park section itself; google took me through private properties and when I found the parking lot near the skate park, it’s full of conflicting signs saying in large print “no pets” and smaller signs with arrows pointing to the dog park. Otherwise, it’s a nice space with water bowls a plenty, extra poop bags, a small and large dog area, and some nice benches in the shade for humans.
