NULL cash or check for all day use. This was an amazing site, gorgeous lake and the road was manageable for my all wheel drive sedan.

Beautiful trail, just under 2 miles in length circumnavigating Jefferson Lake at about 10,700 feet elevation. It’s an easy trail, not rising more than a few dozen feet above the lake, but it’s anything but boring, with the trail winding through the trees on the west side, across open flats on the north side, and travelling between the edge of the trees and shoreline rocks on the east side, with spectacular views of the lake & surrounding mountains from everywhere!

Casual walk on edge of lake through camp/day use area, crystalline setting, living waters nestled between mountains. Some areas are hard to traverse for complete navigation of the lake edge. Fishers galore, many trails, hiking the road that follows the creek is nice, various trails. Lower pond/swamp like areas are expansive, wetlands actively managed by beavers. Abundant wildflower and bird presence. Special place…

We camped at the campsite and hiked around this lake. This was the most beautiful lake.

The campground was clean and well maintained I thought. There are no campfire’ s allowed right now and the campground host would come by with buckets of water if he saw them and put them out..Jefferson lake was very pretty however rocky and if you were fishing you had to watch out for snags but I did catch some nice trout there. We did get checked for our fishing license there FYI..Beautiful scenery all around and a cool camping spot in spite of all the rain we had..
