If you’re seeking a convenient dog-friendly stop along US-10 in Branch Township, Michigan, Baldwin Roadside Park MDOT is a relaxing option to stretch your legs—and your pet’s—on your road trip. Known for its open feel and sunshine thanks to younger trees, it’s a great spot for those looking for a pet-friendly rest area amidst Michigan’s natural surroundings. While not a traditional dog park with fenced runs, this park is welcoming to dogs needing a break from the car.
Amenity highlights at Baldwin Roadside Park MDOT include public restrooms (outhouse-style), picnic tables, charcoal grills for quick BBQs or picnics with your pup, and ample space to walk around. There’s shade from the growing trees, and plenty of spots to relax, making it a good stop for families with dogs. The town of Baldwin is just 10 minutes away, offering additional services should you need them.
Bathrooms need attending. Smelt terrible. Otherwise it’s a nice spot to relax
Someone was cleaning the bathroom when we arrived but offered to move if we needed to use it. Pretty clean and a very easy and relaxing stop
Great stop for a road trip butreak. Especially, with a puppy! Restroom has Always been a lil “rough” it’s an outhouse. But, you can fire up a grill and chill if you want too. I believe there are 6 grills out there, picnic tables. If you’ve got charcoal and dogs, you can make a quick picnic without getting “off” US 10.
Just stopped off for a quick restroom break but very cool, my little five year old son found not one but two walking stick bugs male and female we watched them for a little while and put them back in the tree awesome to see.
Simple relaxing rest stop. Younger trees than much of the nearby forest so there is good sunshine and an open feeling. To the concerns about the restrooms the town of Baldwin is less than 10 minutes east and small towns just west of the park.
