We went for the fishing but today was not our day. One bite between 4 poles and 2 spots… the lake was nice though. Very beautiful day and very quiet area as well.

This is a beautiful campsite right on the lake!! We didn’t have luck with fishing this time but have in the past!!

Beautiful lake, sunsets are wonderful. Quiet in November. We had the all campground for ourselves. At night we saw a bunch of deers. I don’t put five stars because the campfires were full of broken glass, very dangerous for kids and dogs. They should really clean this up!

What a beautiful location. Very easy to get to. I used the campspot app and made my reservation, easy to extend also.
I was staying 7 nights but extended to 12.
The peaceful nights shared with an owl, a few frogs and crickets. Some nights, I was the only camper in the park. The days had fishermen and some picnics. The tent sites were really nice and very large.
My RV space was elect. only and graveled, but not level.
I have a small 23 ft motorhome, some tweeking, the space worked perfect .
They have sites with full hookups. They are all in a row, like most camogrounds. Dumpsters are everywhere, plus trash barrels. Many spots had grills, and all seemed to have picnic tables.
The chances to walk the grounds are excellent as the park is very, very large. They do have a gun range across from the campground, and the noise is minimal.
I did not use the shower as the walk bridge to that section was unservicable. Could take a longer walk around, but I decided not to.
The weekends were busy as it was Easter, and a few large gatherings were happening. Most were respectful of the noise levels, and everyone was quiet by 10:30. Most were gone shortly after dark.
There is a Walmart and a Lowes grocery only a few miles away.

Brady Lake Reservoir: A Gem in Need of Polishing
Brady Lake Reservoir holds a special place in the hearts of local families and outdoor enthusiasts. Despite facing challenges, it remains a wonderful destination for those seeking a tranquil escape. The scenic beauty of the Texas landscape, coupled with the potential for excellent fishing and recreational activities, makes it a valuable community asset.
However, it’s impossible to ignore the current state of the reservoir’s surroundings. Sadly, litter and debris have accumulated in certain areas, detracting from the natural beauty and potentially impacting the ecosystem. Additionally, like many Texas reservoirs, Brady Lake is experiencing lower than average water levels. While this can alter some recreational activities, the lake still provides ample opportunities for fishing and relaxation.
To restore Brady Lake to its full glory, a community-wide effort is needed. Perhaps a coordinated cleanup initiative could be organized, involving local volunteers and potentially exploring partnerships with relevant authorities. In order to help with this clean up, perhaps the county could reach out to the state, and ask about the possibility of utilizing trusted inmate labor, under supervision, to help restore this beautiful place. This would provide an opportunity for positive contribution while also addressing a pressing environmental concern.
Despite its current challenges, Brady Lake Reservoir remains a worthwhile destination for families and individuals seeking a connection with nature. With a renewed focus on cleanliness and conservation, this cherished local treasure can continue to provide enjoyment for generations to come.
