FAQ for Bob Gardner Dog Park in Bradenton Florida:
Didn’t realize we needed a membership to get into doggy areas . Probably my fault for not reading all the way thru . We enjoyed it. If u are on rye road it’s a good walk to the dogpark
We arrived to find gates locked and a sign indicating that a fob was needed to purchsse first. No mention of that we could find in park web page. The fact that im disabled and the dog park is located in the middle of the park while the baseball diamonds are right when you drive in was not lost on me. Just really another oversight on those that look at disabled citizens as second class citizens while granting sports enthusiasts as “ Special Citizens “. I wasn’t born disabled and every day i fight to get back to even but now have a better understanding of helping those that are.
We are fortunate to live in walking distance of this park, for the dog and for ourselves! The dog park and dog pond are well maintained and the fellow dog owners are exceptional. There is an abundance of wildlife, nature trails, disc golf, covered pavilions, dog waste stations and fields for sports. The dog parks are NULL for the year, which is well worth the cost. The bridges do get very hot for dog paws, which is my only complaint.
Great park but very little shade. Better in the morning or evening for sure. The dog lake is a great feature.
NOT A PUBLIC PARK!! Located in a gated community!!We are visiting from out of town and looking for a dog park. Picked this on Google maps and realized it was in a gated community. Had to scan our ID and we were allowed in but there are probably others nearby where you can avoid the fuss.It has a small and large dog area AND a small separate dog lake! Large dog area has agility equipment.
