Maxi Park offers one of the largest and most welcoming dog park experiences in Bozeman, Montana. Spanning an impressive 15 acres, this pet-friendly park features wide open fields perfect for playful pups and a scenic walking loop for owners to enjoy the beautiful Montana landscape. With a completely fenced area and double-gated entry, Maxi Park ensures dogs can play off-leash safely and securely—even if your dog loves to run!
The park includes several smaller fenced enclosures in addition to the expansive main area, making it suitable for both big and small dogs to find their ideal space. Amenities such as wheelchair-accessible parking, a gazebo on the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter side for shade and shelter, and water buckets for thirsty pets provide comfort for both dog owners and their companions. Whether you’re a local seeking daily dog-friendly exercise or a traveler passing through looking for a spot to stretch your legs, Maxi Park is the go-to destination in Gallatin Valley.
Great spot to let your dogs offleash and walk around a beautiful wide open area.
This place is great! It’s so big! I think it’s the biggest dog park I’ve ever been too they have a fence around it and two gates to get in so there’s no way your dog can get out.. if he’s a runner. There’s a walkway that goes all the way around a huge area of grass and I’ve met some really nice people here. It’s a cool place especially if you have big dogs that need to run! This is the spot!
One of my two favorite dog parks.
Easy to adjust the length of the walk.
Plenty of smaller fenced areas (plus the huge one!)
Much of it is flat.
Only downside is no bathroom for humans 😉
It’s a lot bigger than I thought. 15 acres. Very good for dogs who stay close and listen. My dog is still learning and I had a really hard time having him come to me since he was like out of ear shot distance.
They have a water bucket and a gazebo on the animal shelter side.
8/29/2022, yes it’s still open.
Amazing dog park off the beaten path, but not a far detour from the highway. Wide open space for dogs to run and people to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Nice loop provided a great walk to stretch our legs as we passed through Montana. Thanks to Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter for sponsoring this park!
