Love this place, however, there is always that one owner who brings their aggressive dog knowing damn well they shouldn’t. Ruins all the fun and traumatizes other people’s dogs.
Love the whole park and surrounding areas too. Went here for the first time but won’t be out last. There weren’t too many dogs like Buchanan in Lancaster. But it was manageable and the dog owners were awesome people too. After the dog park took our Golden retriever to the boat launch into the yellow breaches. It was awesome. So many things to do with different play areas and picnic benches all over. Maintained very well. Dog HAS to be registered through lower Allen township…. FYI
This place is great to let your fur babies run their little hearts out! My dogs had a blast! Only thing I would recommend is keeping the water turned on year round for when we have nice weather during the off seasons.
Great place to take your high energy doggo to run! I was surprised that you must register your dog for the park. Waiting on our dog license to submit. Will definitely be visiting frequently.
At any dog park, it’s all about the owners and how they handle themselves and their dogs, not the dogs themselves. I haven’t had any issues here with anyone. Everyone seems to manager their dogs well here and they also have been respectful to the others. It’s about making sure the dogs are playing safely and they all seem to follow that pact. I went several times and it’s been the same. Lots of space too
