I drove nearly 2 hours from Clemmons so my dogs could frolic in the snow. They would not sell us a pass as we did not have ‘proof of rabies’. Mind you, it was very cold and not a single other dog there, but still they wouldn’t even give us 10 minutes.
I had a wonderful experience at this dog park. Very nice condition, clean, pleasant staff. I talked to some people there who go everyday. They said they’ve only seen one incident of a dog fight and that many of the dogs know each other and are friends. It was hard to find the entrance. It’s around the back of the building. I asked someone and they were very pleasant and I was impressed with the facility and positive energy around the shelter. I checked the website before I went and found out about the NULL fee. I didn’t mind paying for it because it supports the shelter. Reading about the dog park on its website would have saved many reviewers’ head aches. I almost didn’t go because of all the negative reviews. Glad I tried anyway. My two dogs met some lovely friends and I met some lovely people.
We drove an hour out of our way from a road trip to take the dogs here, only to find out it’s a paid park and we didn’t have our dogs’ records while traveling. They definitely need to add that it’s a paid park on the description. We wasted 2.5 hours.
