The building is still under construction but the park amenities are already being enjoyed by families. The beach is nice, sandy and the water calm. The parking lot is spacious. The entrance is a bit narrow for two cars to enter and leave simultaneously.
The dock can accommodate several boats. I’m sure the building will be nice when it’s finished

Shirley Russel is one of the most unkind employees I have ever met. She waived everyone in but when my husband and I drove by she asked us to roll down our windows and said the lot was full. As we were turning around another family drove behind us and parked without a stop from Shirley. My husband and I left the park for two hours, drove back, and saw a family was leaving. While we waited, three cars pulled in and circled around. After the spot was freed up Shirley walked to our car and cussed us out telling us to leave because we skipped the people (that came in after us??). We explained everything to her and still she wouldn’t budge saying she has the power to kick out whoever she wants to kick out. She took down our license plate and said she was going to call the cops on us.
When you’re one of the few minorities trying to enjoy a park in a predominantly white area, this no longer makes you feel safe. So we left after being threatened by her.
