Fort Boise Dog Park offers a spacious, off-leash area for dogs to play and socialize, with picturesque foothill views right in Boise, Idaho. This park is known for its generous gravel-covered fenced zone for dogs and direct access to pet-friendly hiking and walking trails, making it an excellent spot for both exercise and adventure. The wide-open space allows for plenty of running, although it can become muddy in wet seasons and hot in the summer due to the gravel surface.
Unique to Fort Boise is its lower crowd volume compared to other notable dog parks in the area, offering a more peaceful experience. The on-site water station provides convenience for thirsty pups, and the park’s proximity to the Boise foothills grants dog owners and their pets immediate access to beautiful dog-friendly trails for extended outings.
Absolutely amazing dog park!! Stunning views, an off-leash walking trail plus great fenced in area too. LOVED and super impressed, so thankful to have been able to visit on a random pass-through!!
Dog park is more of an entry way to dog friendly hiking trails. Not very many dogs in the park.
2nd Largest dog park I’ve found in TV so far. But the days I’ve gone has had the lowest number of dogs. Usually only 1-3 other people unlike dog island, Eagle or even Morris hill.
Though the all dog arena is all gravel and can get hot in summer and muddy in winter and spring. But LOTS of room.
Also has a built in water station that aufills which is nice.
It’s a ok dog park but it’s proximity to the foothills has made it a hot spot for ticks only been there once came home with 3
Wide open mud pit for dogs to romp. In need of design and landscaping.
