You start a trail from the road, that connects to a loop recommend counter clockwise to get the steep climb done first, makes coming down a lot easier.

Parking in a little pull off just outside of the trail. Amazing trail with an ever better view. Probably not the nest for small dogs or kids. It’s on the shorter/steeper end of hike, bu I’m really glad I went on this one. It’s definitely worth the work

Great challenging trail with some steep climbs, rock stairways, tree roots, and huge granite rock climbs. A couple variations you can take with a beautiful summit view from the top. Found all sorts of hikers on the trail from young to old, solo to families, serious to casual. General loop is no less than a 90 minutes at a decent clip, I could see the longer path being over 2 hours. Great trail! Parking can get a little tight on the weekends.
