Absolutely gorgeous hike! The field at the start was filled with wildflowers, the views were incredible, and the hike very clearly marked.

Great little hike that can be done in an hour or so if you really cook it up and down. Easy trail and the views are marvelous. It is less than an hour from Bangor and close to Ellsworth, so the location is pretty good too. Bring the family and take advantage of this less well known hike.

Great view at lower out look and upper outlook. The main trail has a rock scramble, but you can avoid it by going around to the back of the mountain. There is two trails for the mountain.

Very glad I decided not to go to a local trail nearby and drive to a new destination. The beginning of the trail takes you through a bird sanctuary with flowers throughout then you come to your first decision of whether to take the easier or the hard trail. There are many beautiful scenic views, especially at the summit. It was well worth the hike and drive.

Very nice short hike. Make sure you know what trail you want to take the ones showing on site are not called Blue Hill Mountain Trail. Not for those who have bad knees or trouble going up steep trails. Wear good shoes with ankle supports . Can be slippery When Wet with all the leaves . The scenery is nice with a combination of woods and rocky area and nice view of the water below.
