We’ve been looking for a dog friendly beach since we’ve been staying in Chincoteague, this beach about 40 mins away is perfect!! We went and there was only a few other cars, basically had the whole beach to ourselves. Definitely will be back!

Attacked by swarm of bitting flies! These are not your regular flies. They would not leave us or my dogs alone. They were biting my dogs and we couldn’t stay for long. We left only after 10 mins because the flies wouldn’t leave us alone. I wouldn’t recommend going. We couldn’t even relax for a sec without flies in our ears or face.

perfect little beach to bring the pup! I went early morning mid-Sept and it was empty (no horse flies). Perfect for dogs to wade in or swim out far, run along the beach and sniff around. Humans can sit relax, read, search for shells and enjoy some quiet time. I would give it 5-stars but there is a bit of trash, no garbage cans and a bunch of graffiti in one area but overall nice.
