Had a Danilo reunion in the shelter house, which has been recently upgraded with bathrooms. Really nice
We were there for apple festival
It needs an update. Ots been the exact same since I was in high school almost 20 years ago. They repaint and plant some flowers and did add new swings for handicap. It’s a really good sized park but doesn’t have alot for kids to play on. 4 (5 if you count the “double racer” as 2) 5 to 9 swings a jungle gym I’d only trust an older kid to play on. Some thing you run around holding onto for the kids riding to get dizzyand/or hurt on, definitely not for younger kids, especially if there are bigger kids playing also. Plus it’s super small compared to others. It’s always had nice courts when they’re kept up on. The infamous water fountain hippo that gets painted every fee years yet put up in winter(sometimes) and during covid. The gazebo is the coolest attribute and idk that i ever remember it even being repainted. It just doesn’t get enough love. It also had one really nice shelter house another enclosed and one open one. I wouldn’t use the restrooms there if it was an emergency. There’s so much extra open space that could be utilized and the toddler or younger kid area, actually the only playset/jungle gym could be added on to or updated in general. THERES ALREADY VERY LITTLE IN THIS TOWN FOR KIDS OR ANYBODY TO DO. THE ONE THING THEY GIVE US COULD HAVE A LITTLE TOWN MONEY SPENT ON IT HERE OR THERE. We could drive 15 miles and go to a PARK that has so much for kids to play on and even a splash pad to cool off with. Has our hippo beat!
Clean with several different playground items including swings, basketball court and a picnic area. Only thing I don’t like about it is how close to the main road it is, however there is a fence that helps with safety concerns
Quaint and clean family setting. Easy to find and all the play equipment is in good condition so no safety issues for the kids. The bathroom wasn’t super clean and was actually flooded with god knows what was in that water but it was functional once the water had drained.
