Swanson Dog Park is one of the most popular dog parks in Blaine, offering a welcoming, pet-friendly environment just off Central Ave. This well-maintained off-leash park features separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, a large open space, sand, and even a kiddie pool, making it an excellent place for dogs to socialize and play freely. With plenty of shade from both mature trees and picnic shelters, it’s comfortable for both pets and their owners year-round.
The park boasts dog-friendly hiking and walking trails that wind through shaded, wooded areas — perfect for energetic pups to burn off some steam. Owners will appreciate the abundant seating, water fountains for both small and large dog areas, waste stations with extra bags, and ample parking. Swanson Dog Park is also wheelchair accessible and features a nearby playground, making it a great spot for family outings in Blaine, MN. Its friendly community of regulars and well-kept amenities help it stand out among local dog parks.
Kind of small but still nice to let the dogs play off leash. Most people are very nice.
Great dog park. There is a little section for smaller dogs and a big area for medium/large dogs. The big area has a good size open space, some sand and water area with kiddie pool but a big grassy area, too. There are picnic benches under an overhang to get out the sun near the water area and a big tree in the grass. I like the twisting walking trails that are nicely shaded the most. We go to a lot of dog parks all around the cities, and this is definitely top 5 for us. There is also a playground for kids right outside. Sometimes one of us goes with the kid to the playground while the other tires out the dogs. Win-win.
Everything you could need from an off- leash dog park fresh water, shade, separate small and large dog areas, seating for owners, extra bags if you forget yours, and trash cans. You enter into an open area and then can walk further back into the woods with nice groomed trails to let your dogs get their zoomies out.
Nice wooded park with trails, small dog area, small shelter, tables, bags, and bowls. My only negative note is that it’s off of a loud, busy street. Certainly better than your average city “box” style dog park, but I wish it was bigger.
Great park – we bark here often . The only drawback is the prickly ferns in the summer months & burrs at times. Has fountains for water on both small n large dog sides as well as many picnic tables to sit n rest. Very social regulars. Well maintained. Only drawback is Blaine fair days closes the park
