Blackstone Gorge is a picturesque destination for dog owners looking for a beautiful escape in Blackstone, MA. Featuring pet-friendly hiking trails that meander alongside the Blackstone River, this spot is well-known among locals for its peaceful atmosphere, lush greenery, and stunning river views. The park is a popular place for dog walking and off-leash play among responsible owners, especially in the mornings and evenings during the summer. It’s a great location for dogs to socialize, swim in the river, and enjoy some exercise.
The area is partially fenced but does not have a fully enclosed or double-gated dog area, so close supervision of pets is recommended. While Blackstone Gorge doesn’t offer on-site restrooms or dog-specific amenities like poop bags or agility equipment, it does have plenty of parking, picnic tables, benches with seating, and shady spots under the trees. The network of trails—including flat, paved sections—invites both walkers and bikers to explore the scenic surroundings. In addition, the park’s calm and friendly vibe makes it a favorite for dog lovers and families alike.

Open parking lot, Great trail all around. The path along the river is a little hard take your time on the path, be careful at the high rock 🪨 spot to get some good views. Loops around to a quiet area of the river. Many trails go in different places.
Great condition, great views, not crowded

Small but gorgeous park with a little boat launch for kayaks and a hiking trail that follows the river for a while. Well worth stopping for a picnic or short hike.

This is a beautiful area. There is a decent size parking lot but didn’t find any portable restrooms or otherwise. Nice hikes and lot of rocks. Path along the river gorge is lovely. There is a picnic area and boat access. Quite a lovely place. Not finding any restrooms was the only downside.

We walked this short trail along the gorge. Very pretty, my guess better in winter when the leaves are down. Going in summer, bug spray and boots as some areas of the trail are overgrown. Not very long or difficult to walk. Took our dog and he when for a swim twice to cool off. Keep leashed as the river runs pretty fast and is rocky
