Discover Embarrass Lake Wayside Rest & Boat Landing Park, a scenic spot near Biwabik, Minnesota, perfect for adventurers and dog owners alike. This location is celebrated for its tranquil lakeshore, sandy swimming areas, and direct connection to the Masabe paved trail—accommodating biking, hiking, skating, and even skiing. The unique sandbars and small islands formed on the lake offer a fun and interesting opportunity for dogs to play, splash, and cool off during summer days.
While not a traditional fenced dog park, this pet-friendly park is ideal for leashed outings with your canine companion. Enjoy peaceful woods, abundant wildlife, and access to fishing, hiking, or relaxing by the water. The open greenspace and wild beauty make Embarrass Lake a top local destination for families and dog lovers craving outdoor fun in Minnesota’s Iron Range.
We Love the wilderness! Was very nice to be in the woods, nobody else in sight, enjoyed the wildlife & put phones away for the day. Beautiful area for fall hiking, fishing, hunting or even crashing down nearby trails with the 4 wheel drive!
This place is awesome to go to there was a ton of sand that washed down the river in the last few years and it made this sand bar out in the lake where typically you would never had been able to stand because of how deep the water is but now that all this sand got washed down into the lake it created this little island that you can just hangout on and set up some chairs and relax and then jump in the water when you get too hot! This is my favorite spot to hang out at this summer on a hot day!
Masabe paved bike, hike, skate, ski trail is connected to this wayside. Boat landing lake access.
A nice spot to take the kids. Not much of a boat landing because of the sandbars but that’s one reason we had fun swimming. It really needs a portapoty though.
Good to park and stretch your legs, but no bathroom. Pretty scenery though, and has a boat landing if you are trying to access the lake. Kind of a cool little fishing spot as well.
