Pettibone Lake County Park
Pettibone Lake County Park is a peaceful and scenic park featuring a lake known for good fishing and a shallow swim area more suited for children. The park offers wheelchair accessible parking, a covered picnic area with benches, picnic tables, swings, and a playground, making it family-friendly. Although there is no public restroom within the park and the lake’s beach is limited to a boat launch requiring a permit, visitors appreciate the quiet, beautiful surroundings and recreational opportunities such as fishing and relaxation.

My family has been comIng here for 80 years. Great fishing and relaxation. Awful news that camping isn’t allowed anymore.
It’s a park has a swing set and I believe one other piece of equipment. There is a camp ground across the street and generally it is those visiting and residents near by that is the access area. There is decent fishing there as well as a ice fishing tournament during the Winter. I wouldn’t recommend Pettibone lake to be a destination as there are much better lakes for both fishing and swimming.
Went for some fall colors and was not disappointed.
4 stars is a stretch. There’s a covered picnic area with benches & a swing set but no bathrooms. The only “beach” is the boat launch which requires a permit. The lake is very shallow so swimming is only for little kids.
