🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located in the heart of Birmingham, Green Springs Dog Park offers a convenient and pet-friendly outdoor space for local dog owners. This park provides a couple of fenced areas for dogs of different sizes, allowing both small and large breeds to play and burn off energy. While the separation of areas isn’t always strictly enforced, many users enjoy the flexibility for their pets to socialize regardless of size, as long as all dogs are well-behaved.
Visitors appreciate the shade provided by large trees, picnic tables for relaxing, and an open parking lot nearby. Green Springs Dog Park is known for its wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking, making it a welcoming spot for all dog lovers and their families. However, reviewers have noted that the park could use more regular maintenance, especially with waste disposal and trash pickup, and that water fountains for pets are currently not available. Despite these areas for improvement, the open space and friendly community make it a popular spot among Birmingham’s dog enthusiasts.
Havent been out here in a while. I really enjoyed being the only one there lol. And the shade from this tree was soo wonderful. I shouldve brought a hammock! Only thing though is you can never find any poop bags in the box.
I absolutely love this dog park. It has a couple fenced in spots for different size dogs but it isn’t heavily enforced so small dogs can still play with well behaved big dogs. My little mutt loves burning off energy here.
I just wrote a long review, and it got erased. Or I accidentally erases. Point is: this place was so dirty, and there is trash by the benches. Signs are broken or bent, no water fountains for pups, there is no way I will come here again.
Great shaded dog park. And a pretty open parking lot. Not easy to find the entrance to the dog park, there was a path that led to a gate but the gate was locked and there was a bush on the other side. Garbage was all over the park and not that many picked up the poop.
Not sure who is responsible for this dog park, but it definitely needs some TLC. At least the grass area nearby was free and I was able to use it.
