Located in the heart of Bethany, Oklahoma, Eldon Lyon Park is a well-known recreational area that’s popular with families, dog owners, and local sports enthusiasts alike. While not a dedicated dog park, it offers plenty of open space and pet-friendly trails where people frequently walk their dogs and enjoy the expansive fields. This makes it a great option for those looking for a dog-friendly park in Bethany to spend time outdoors with their canine companions.
Besides its open areas and wide trails perfect for walking or running with your dog, the park features playgrounds, basketball and baseball facilities, and a large pavilion for picnics and gatherings. There’s ample green space for kite flying, frisbee, and even sledding on the big hill during winter months. However, visitors should note that the park is simple, may need additional maintenance at times, and does not currently have public restrooms.
The park needs clean up. There were trees that looked like it was from the past ice storm. The park is simple, needs renovations. There are no public restrooms. There are a lot of people that go there to walk their dogs or to ride bikes. There’s constantly people coming and going. Large field in the middle of the park maybe for a quick game of soccer or football
Basketball courts are available and 2 small playgrounds on each end of park. Not the cleanest place.
Great park with alot of open fields for football practice. There’s a big pavilion with picnic tables and grill for parties or events. Frisbee golf, basketball, baseball, and walking trails.
We take our 19m old here quite often, and always have a great time with him! He is a runner, and there are indeed tons of open spaces to run around in!
The playground area is fairly small and simple, but can get the job done for kiddos. Just don’t expect it to be the larger, all-abilities playgrounds like the ones off Route 66 or by the Bethany Library. That said, there are areas for basketball, soccer, a baseball/softball field, a big hill that’s perfect for sledding in the winter, and tons of room to fly kites!
This place needs some work.
I miss going here regularly.
Sunken sidewalks covered with mud.
Overgrown grass with weeds and pricker’s, i’ve even seen homeless people in this park.
Needs some help!
Very nice and clean park, has play area for kids and picnic areas as well, with a “Yuuuuge” disc golf course!!
