Stephen Decatur Park in Berlin, Maryland, is a well-maintained public space offering a diverse array of recreational amenities. Located on Tripoli Street, this popular dog-friendly park features beautiful paved walking trails and a nature path, perfect for pet-friendly hikes and strolls with your dog. Art installations by local students add a charming touch to the surroundings, and the park is praised for its cleanliness and regular upkeep.
While specifically not a fenced dog park, the open fields and walking paths make Stephen Decatur Park a great destination for dog-friendly hikes and outdoor family fun. There are picnic areas with grills, a large playground, tennis and pickleball courts, exercise paths, a pond, and an open pavilion for gatherings. Owners will find plenty of parking and shaded spots for hot Maryland days. Families benefit from multiple playgrounds and open areas for kids to play while their pets enjoy the outdoors.
A great place to stop to get some fresh air. They have a huge playground for all ages. Plus a trail with exercise stops along the way. It was very clean and well maintained. They had a few port-a-poties. Plenty of parking. Definitely worth your time.
Such a great park with a huge playground and tennis courts,It was clean and I recommend to stop to get some fresh air it worth your time.
Cute park with lots of playground equipment, tennis courts and an exercise path. Porta potty’s only but pretty clean park in general.
Great little park with a large picnic area and grill so you can grill some food and set up at a picnic table or there’s plenty of room to set up a blanket and spread out. There’s a nature walk and pond across from the playground and parking lot. Only negative for me is that they don’t have real bathrooms, there’s two porta pottya and they were both out of toilet paper so bring some or some wipes.
The park has two wonderful walking trails. The main trail is in the main area. It is paved and has a few different paths to take. There is also artwork by students of the local schools. The second walking trail is a bit more hidden. On the side of the overflow parking lot there is a pond with a gravel.
The park also has tennis, pickleball, and racketball courts, bodyweight workout areas, playgrounds, swings, Frisbee golf, open fields, tables, and an open pavilion.
Stephen Decatur Park is well kept. It is clean and the lawn is tended to regularly.
