Benicia Dog Park, located at 540 Rose Dr in Benicia, California, offers a welcoming and spacious environment for dogs and their owners. This pet-friendly park is known for its large open area, allowing both big and small dogs plenty of room to run and play. Reviews highlight how clean, well-maintained, and accessible the park is, making it a popular spot for local dog lovers seeking a comfortable and safe place to socialize their pets. The park is wheelchair accessible, offers ample parking, and features nearby public restrooms for convenience.
One unique aspect of this Benicia dog park is its scenic setting and the presence of off-road trails perfect for dog-friendly hiking adventures just behind the fenced area. While the park itself is mostly dirt rather than grass (which can mean dust in summer and mud in the rainy season), mature trees provide a good amount of shade. You’ll also find that the park is adjacent to various other amenities, including a baseball field and skateboarding area, making it a great spot for families and pet owners looking for activities beyond the dog park.
We had a great time, and there was a nice breeze, fun dogs. There’s no grass. it seems like it could get hot there in summer. Trees for shade.
Beautiful park. Very spacious and not too crowded. Very nice green park with no trash or toxic stuff for dogs to get into. Lots of parking
Good dog park, both big and small. Nice and large enough area for your pets! Behind the park are off road trails for walking. Overall, nice park with lovely scenery!
Never like it when a dog park is more dirt than grass. Means it’s dusty when dry and muddy when wet seasons.
Besides that it’s a good size dog park. Plenty of space for several dogs and people.
Great dog park! It’s clean, well maintained and it’s big enough for a bunch of big dogs to spaz out! I’ve met friendly folks and playful dogs… what more do you want?
