Wonderful spot to stretch Spot’s legs plus a wonderful swimming hole for the pups.

The dog park is not noted on the street sign but it’s there. Two fenced parts. The larger and closer was almost completely devoid of anything green; it’s all dirt and piles of rocks people have tossed together. There is a bench and a water spigot with a bowl.Across a walking path there is a second section including some river waterfront. The shore is rock rip-rap for a beach. My dog is older and not brave but she found one spot where she was able to ease herself in and have a quick paddle. The park was busy each time we visited. We only met reasonably behaved dogs. A utilitarian location if not beautiful.

Great dog park, a few spots your dog can run free down by the river or on the river, a trail along the side of the river if you decide your done standing around watching your dog play. The pictures are of the trail that runs along the dog park & river. It’s a loop as well. It’s a dog park…

Riverbend Dog Park is a fantastic spot for both dogs and their owners. The park is situated along a scenic river with a serene and peaceful environment, perfect for a walk or letting your furry friends roam and play. The enclosed area provides a safe space for off-leash fun, and the natural setting of trees, leaves, and open ground makes it an enjoyable experience for dogs to explore. The park has plenty of space, which helps prevent overcrowding, and it’s a great place to meet other dog lovers. During my visit, the sunset over the river added to the picturesque atmosphere, making it a delightful outing. The fencing around the park is well-maintained, ensuring your dogs are secure while enjoying their freedom. One small improvement could be the addition of more seating areas for dog owners and perhaps better lighting for those visiting during early mornings or late evenings. Overall, Riverbend Dog Park is a highly recommended spot for dog owners in the area, offering a mix of natural beauty and fun for your four-legged companions.

What a great find. The pups loved jumping into the river to cool off. Be careful as you maneuver on the large boulders that bank the rivers edge. This is also a great spot for you to get in the water and take a dip of your own. There’s definitely some current, so this isn’t the swimming hole for kids. Though it’s a great spot for Fido and you to cool down and play a little fetch with your water hound.
