We visited Belmar Beach at the end of September—lucky with the weather! Crowds were minimal, so we fully enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, warm water, and calm waves. We love strolling along the wooden boardwalk—there are such huge seagulls there that it’s mesmerizing! Only one downside: few open restaurants for tourists, hardly anywhere to grab a bite, which is odd for a resort. Overall, a great spot for a peaceful getaway

One of my fav New Jersey Beaches. Clean not overly crowded. Nice walking paths. If you’re visiting after 4:30 wrist band isn’t necessary.

Beautiful and clean beach though it is paid. Life guards are always there to help us out. water sports are also available nearby like parasailing. Though it was quite challenging to park our car as they don’t have proper parking and it get’s full so quickly. My advice is coming early in the morning can solve this problem.

One of my family’s top choices in Jersey area. This is very clean well maintained beach and fantastic yellow sand and blue waters. The board walk is awesome and well lit also after dark. We have been going here for many years in summers.

Belmar is a beautiful beach town, but the beach needs a little touch of maintenance. It is not the cleanest beach I have been to as I saw some debris on the sand, but I have been to worse in NY. It also gets quite congested after a certain time with younger adults. The bathrooms here are surprisingly kept pretty clean.

Just an FYI to new visitors, you can get your NULL (adult cost) beach badge by paying through an app. Then, you present it to the agent at the booth to get your wristband. They don’t accept credit cards/cash, just like Sea Girt. Children 13 and under can go on the beach for free.

Now, parking can be challenging. I didn’t have issues as I drove down early on the weekend, and I was still a number of blocks away from the beach with regular free street parking. There are also not a whole lot of food options unless you grab something near or on 8th Avenue. Most of the options for food are along Main Street.

Even though this wasn’t my favorite spot along the Jersey Shore, I would come here again. I would just do it on a weekday and try to avoid the weekend crowds.
