Nestled in the heart of Bellevue, Nebraska, Jewell Dog Park offers a safe and welcoming environment for dogs and their humans. This popular local spot boasts generous open spaces for dogs to play and socialize, a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot, and scenic, pet-friendly trails perfect for dog-friendly hiking or leisurely strolls. Visitors often enjoy the well-maintained grounds, ample space to roam, and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite destination for local dog owners.
The park features a separate area typically reserved for small dogs (under 35 lbs), though park maintenance may temporarily affect area usage. Families are welcome, as the park is also noted for being kid-friendly and offering picnic tables for relaxation. As an added bonus, the adjoining trails and creek area provide additional adventure for four-legged visitors and their owners—ideal for those seeking an active outing in Bellevue.
The large dog park area is closed for reseeding unfortunately this has resulted in the area reserved for dogs 35 lbs and under being filled with huskies, German shepherds and other large breed dogs. This clearly presents a safety hazard for my small Maltese (under 10 pounds) who couldn’t enter the park to run and play without risking injury from the large shepherd who kept running over, I was almost knocked over when it jumped on me so it was out of the question that I would allow it to rough house with my dog this same owner also allowed his dog to bark at and corner repeatedly a small child in the park. It’s sad that I live 2 blocks from this park but my dog can no longer enjoy it. Won’t be returning it.
I love this place! It’s a great place to take your dog if they’re not yet used to dogs or don’t get along with dogs. I suggest early in the morning on a week day is the best time to go.
the first time i vistited the trail to jewel park was in 7th grade it was over grown and difficult for me to ride i didnt enjoy it till i took my self their again i noticed some new feautures like a small rock garden and a new trail then recently ive come.back again and i found even more trails that have been well maintained their are berms a few jumps if you are technically inclined to do on a mtb and nice flowy sections of the trail.i noticed that the trail was very clean i only saw two bottles i picked them both up and threw them away. i had lots of fun here and i will be sure to come back again also their are trails in a creek area and you can see some pretty cool stuff this will be my daily riding spot for sure. and im going to reccomend it to seths bike hacks if you havent heard of him look him up on youtube.thats all happy trail riding
Very Beautiful! Not over crowded! Lots of space! The only thing is be careful if ur allergic to bees! A lot of clover so a lot of bees! Worth the stop 💚
My 2 corgis love this dog park. They have lots of regular doggo friends and go at least a few times a week!
I wish that the city would add some metal shading and more seating but over all great dog park with lots of space.
