Rotary Dog Park is a spacious, member-only dog park conveniently located at 110 N 6th St in Belleville, IL. Renowned for its scenic and well-maintained grounds, this park features separate secure areas for large and small dogs, making it a top choice for pet owners seeking both safety and fun in a dog park in Belleville, Illinois. The park boasts wheel-chair accessible paths and parking, beautiful landscaping, open rolling hills for exercise, and plenty of room for your dogs to run leash-free.
Some highlights of Rotary Dog Park include agility equipment, benches, shaded areas, and picnic tables. While there is a splash pad to cool off dogs on hot days and potable water spigots available, guests are encouraged to bring water during colder months as water may be shut off. The park requires a modest annual membership, ensuring extra security and a well-kept environment for all visitors. If you’re looking for pet-friendly trails or dog-friendly hiking, you’ll enjoy the easy access to walking trails nearby.
The lawn maintenance could improve by weed eating the tall grass around the agility items. The splash pad is nice but a water spigot in that area would be helpful getting the dogs water in the rear area of the park. Very impressed with the size of the 🐕 🦮🐩🐶park!
I can certainly say it is quite spacious and quite scenic. It’s almost like entering a golf course, and the dogs tend to love all the free-roaming space, and the gates all around are quite secure to prevent accidental escape while being leash free. It even runs along the walking trail so your pets can meet their next visitors before entry. Even though there is a water zone I would still advise bringing your own water with the fact that the city sometimes shuts off the water on cold days and the water simply sprays into the air rather than flow for it is meant to cool them down on hot days rather than be drank from the looks of things. The hills are also quite excellent for exercising right next to the dog course.
My 2 dogs go crazy whenever we go. They love it and I love that they have a large secure area to play in. The fee to join is really reasonable.
Wonderful place for my big shepherd to run. It’s great they have separate areas for large and small dogs. Very smart!!
Great facility to have in your town.
I would not have even considered owning the breed of dog I adopted without convenient access to this beautiful park. Large, fenced-in park area with two separate paddocks, trees, benches, agility equipment, and potable water spigots. Belleville works hard to keep landscaping and equipment maintained, which is a challenge with the volume of fast-paced play that park sees daily. I’d love to see restrooms, a serviceable water fountain, and possibly a dog-wash station but it’s pretty great as is. The park IS access-controlled and has a small annual fee; that’s not unheard of for many types of municipal parks. Best thing of all: my pup is always so happy to be here.
