I came here to show my daughter where I went to school. I kept having dreams about moving back to Bell Buckle and took advantage of this beautiful day for some quality family time. Great place for kids to play. I don’t know if there’s a bathroom. My first time being here so I didn’t walk the entire walking trail.
There used to be a Bell Buckle Elementary/High School at this site till it burned down. Be careful of the mole holes if you walk in the grass.
GO BLUE DEVILS!!
This is a lovely park with so many interesting little facts and finds. Took our pups for a walk through after Thanksgiving and even though it was cold and the trees were dormant, it was beautiful. I can only imagine how charming it will be in the spring or summertime. We will definitely be back!
Great scenery and community. Pokemon go, pictures, playground, amphitheater, restroom, bell buckle cafe. This spot has IT ALL. ONE OF THE OG spots to kick back and just relax. Easy to lose track of time here, be warned. 💯
We love this park. It’s beautiful. I love that it’s dedicated to Ward Anderson.
The playground is great for 2-3 and older. Lots of good equipment, plus the swings are solid enough for adults to swing too.
There is a paved trail. It is stroller friendly.
You’ve also got a basketball court with 1 hoop, a gravel lot about 40′ x 40′, some pavilions with grills, and bathrooms.
The bathrooms are located in the big building towards the corner of the park. They’re on the back side. They are closed at certain times of the year.
This is easily our favorite local (to Shelbyville) park.
What a beautiful, well maintained park. Nice playground and basketball court. The walking paths were nice and wide, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the park. I loved all the markers identifying the different kinds of trees and plants.
