If you’re searching for a welcoming dog park in Belfair, Washington, Belfair Bark Park offers a fenced, secure area where your furry companion can play off-leash surrounded by the tranquility of nature. Conveniently located behind the Salmon Center and near pet-friendly trails, the park features separate enclosures for small and large dogs, providing a safe environment for pups of all sizes. With dedicated seating and a bit of shade, it’s an ideal place for local dog owners to relax while their pets socialize and play.
Though amenities are basic, the park stands out for its peaceful setting, thanks to the support of local businesses and its proximity to outdoor spaces perfect for a quick stroll. However, it’s recommended to visit when mosquito activity is low and always bring your own water for your pet, as fountains may not be available. The park is open year-round and offers free access to dog owners in the Belfair area.
Nice dog park, a tiny bit of shade w a bench. Fenced areas for dogs 30# or less and another for bigger dogs. Our Sadie loves it. Thank you to the local businesses that support it – Mitchell Lumber and Hood Canal Communications, etc.
Absolutely not worth it at all unless you live right there. Drove up from Shelton, passing acres upon acres of gorgeous Green Diamond land that allows dogs off leash no problem for a rectangular box with dead grass, minimal amenities and less space than my yard.
The only reason for the low rating is that we went in the evening of a hot day. The swarms of mosquitoes were worse than I have ever seen and I am 62 years old. It might help if the nature center put up some bat boxes and or swallow houses.. so I recommend only going when mosquitoes won’t be as active!
Great park and short little trail. They currently have the storybook trail signs up from Timberland Library. Great for the kiddos but not stroller friendly!
Nice large enclosed dog park. Right behind the Salmon Center. Very quiet, nice little gem.
Do bring water.
