We have a Boston Terrier who goes to daycare all day five days a week. He’s always excited to leave the house and go see his friends. It’s comforting to know that our pup is being watched and cared for by experienced professionals while we go to work. I highly recommend scheduling a meet and greet if you’re looking for daycare.
Dogtopia BelAir is awesome! My dog is always super excited to go to daycare. He starts to wiggle as soon as we enter the parking lot.
The staff is amazing. They provide a loving and welcoming environment for all the dogs, calling each one by their name.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO THIS FACILITY. I dropped my dog off on a Friday and explained to 2 different employees why I would feel more comfortable if my dog wore a body suit while he was there. I also told them that I understand that it might be hard to determine when he will use the bathroom, and if he pees on the suit then I have another suit in the bag. One employee said “we can do that” and the other employee said that if he does pee on the suit that “they will wash it”. So, I trusted them to take care of my dog. When I picked him up, he smelled of stale urine. They did, however, try to cover up the smell with some kind of spray. As I put my dog in the car, I realized that it was the suit that smelled so bad. I’m not sure when the dog peed in the suit but I’m pretty sure they kept in that wet, urine soaked suit for the entire weekend. I checked in the bag that I had brought his belongings in and the new suit was still in the bag unopened. Then I saw that his dog food that had not been touched either. I had scheduled him for a nail trim on Saturday morning which they completely neglected to do. On Monday morning I called in to speak with the owner, Patty. Patty informed me that they do not take dogs in body suits “for that reason”. I told her about his food and she snapped “your dog ate this weekend”. I tried to go through the list of my concerns and immediately cut me off and asked “if she could speak now”. Obviously, she didn’t want or care to listen about the way my dog was treated over the weekend. Horrible people and horrible services!
Do your research before trusting Dogtopia of Bel Air with your dog’s care.
Our dog was attacked by another dog in the Romper Room. The vet said incidents like this aren’t uncommon in dog daycares—but that doesn’t make them acceptable. We were told that our dog was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, she did nothing to provoke the attack. They told us the altercation lasted only seconds, yet our dog suffered seven bite wounds between her neck and leg. We asked to see video footage – they refused to share it with us, and originally told me we were responsible for the vet bill.
To be fair, the owner did check in on our dog several times, which we appreciated and she did pay the bill. But the emotional toll was tough—our once happy, social dog became timid and skittish for weeks. Since switching to another care option, she’s back to herself!
One concern and the reason I am giving one star: we’ve heard that negative reviews are sometimes filtered or removed, which is troubling if true. Transparency matters.
If you’re considering Dogtopia, we strongly recommend using the trial period, watching the live feed closely, and asking clear questions about how they handle safety incidents. There are so many alternatives that do not have safety risks.
Max has been coming here for over a year now. I can’t say enough good things about this place. My dog starts wagging his tail as soon as we get in the parking lot. The employees are so caring and attentive to my dog and always welcome him with a big smile. He loves Dogtopia and so do I. I will never go anywhere else
