There are paved and wooded trails perfect for leashed dog walks, plus wide-open grassy areas for exercise. Families appreciate the playground, disc golf course, exercise stations, and multiple picnic spots, making this park a go-to destination in the Bedford area for all ages and pet lovers.
Quick dog walk around the exercise loop, but definitely have to explore the wooded trails next time. Note: it’s nestled behind the VA Extension office, so drive past that building to get to that parking area.
Wonderful park! Tons of space to run, walk and play. Playground is here, public bathrooms, multiple dining spots with ample tables. There are exercise modules along the walk path. Grass is nicely cut. There is a great frizby golf course. The breeze along the slope here is awesome! Decent parking space for the park size. Multiple trash receptacles.
I’ve been bringing my kids here forever. I think the playground was new when I started taking my 12 yr old when she was two. The playground could use some TLC lately. There’s some graffiti and could use more mulch. Last time we went the duck spring ride had finally been taken down. The turtle has been gone for a few years. Hopefully something will replace them. The circle path is good for walking or riding bikes and scooters. There’s a few biking trails that you can walk too. It does get super muddy after rain so be careful. There’s a little creek you can walk down to and cross a bridge at a few different points. We saw a water snake hanging out in the creek this summer so watch where you’re stepping. Pavilions are nice for gatherings. If you’re into disc golf, they have a great course. I’ve also seen that the parks and rec have been doing more family events which is great for the community.
Beautiful park! We drove 45 min to play the disc golf course and had a blast. The course is laid out perfectly and well maintained. You can tell there was a ton of effort and thought put into the layout of everything. There’s yellow & red baskets and having never played here before, it was really easy to find everything. The trails were really nice and they also had little workout areas that you could use to exercise with. I thought it was really neat that they had those little areas. I’ve never seen that in a park before. Overall I was very impressed and will come back again.
Attended a race today w my daughter. This park has really been updated to meet all needs of being outsdoors.
