I have a tendency to read reviews before I leave one. And I read reviews with one or two stars only. And the truth is I was surprised by some of the reviews for rescue right. That being said, obviously everyone’s experiences and expectations are for the most part different.I am in NYC, what we see down here is significantly different from what I’m sure people see in these parts. I try to help any animal that I can when I encounter an animal in need. More often than not, it is a cat. I’m not affiliated with anything, just one man who every now and again helps. A man on my street gave a random girl my number because she needed help with 2 one month old kittens that were doing bad in a south Bronx building. No one in this region would help. Shelters were all packed. Even the TNR lady on my street turned me down after I sat there for over an hour giving her what would be called a free therapy session. And I always do. See, what I have learned is that people miss the point 99% of the time. People ask me, why do I listen to her for so long? And I simply say, because she needs it. See, people like her and Penny and whomever are giving of themselves in a way that most people never would. It’s a sacrifice. It’s costly. And I’ve noticed that very few, nearly No one thinks about them. They’re overworked, underpaid, and have to deal with so much bs from people that they need therapy. You guys have no idea the nonsense they go through. They’re not perfect, and the day in and day out does take it’s toll. I’m mindful and grateful to the Daisy’s and Penny’s of the world. And I wish everyone had great experiences. I fortunately did. Penny took in these two kittens when no one would. And less than 24 hrs later I can see improvements. I’m not saying anyone is right or wrong. People who’ve I encountered that sacrifice for animals are typically apprehensive. And it’s because of their experiences with people. Ask yourself, have you donated to such a cause? Not some TV or your church type but to a person or business that do it out of their own. It’s different. It’s harder.Penny, I don’t know your past or why, and I’m not a judge so that’s not my business. All I know is that you came through for me and mines. And today there are two really cute kittens that have significantly better odds because of you and yours and I’m grateful.I am a very observant person, and I can tell you that Penny and Steve are people of feel. They were great to me. But they felt me out. They do what they have to. You think they haven’t given a pet to someone they end up regretting? There are so many suspect pet owners. Take from me, I actually stole a cat to save his life. I’m just saying, for some of you, the feel maybe wasn’t as right as you may believe. And maybe Penny had an off span in her life, after all, she’s only human. But there are not many of them in the world. And they don’t have to. And its easy to say then let someone else… then who, YOU? Yeah right. Thanks Penny and Co, I know when I want to save an animal where I’m driving almost an hour to.The day after, they look amazingly better.
Brought this little guy home awhile ago but the staff and everyone was so friendly in making sure I had everything we needed to adjust him at home. Meet Stomper! Today we became the luckiest family by adopting a sweet little black kitten named Ben from Rescue Right of Bedford, NY. The whole adoption experience was wonderful and rewarding. Catie, James, and Penny were so amazing from the moment we stopped by and Ben chose us. We could tell that he was very well cared for at Rescue Right. He has already settled in and we are all full of joy. Including Ben. Now known as our sweet Pachi 🐈⬛🩷THANK YOU PENNY AND STAFF FOR THE WONDERFUL WORK YOU DO FOR ANIMALS AND FAMILIES!
My husband and I are so happy we found Rescue Right. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by extremely friendly staff. They truly care about their dogs and cats and want them all to find great homes and do a great job pairing you with the animal who best fits your lifestyle so they can set you up for success! We found our sweet Nash and love him to pieces. They made sure to provide his current vaccinations and history sheet. They made sure that he was thoroughly dewormed and ready to go home. They are very supportive and we know that if we ever need their help they are just a phone call away! We love our little guy and we can’t thank Penny and her staff enough for this little nugget!
