Wow! What a gem here in Beaverton, Oregon! We visited for the first time this week and have been out here a couple times already.
Tualatin Hills Nature Park is a remarkably diverse 222 acre wildlife preserve with wetlands, forests and streams that are habitat to insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
The Tualatin Hills Nature Park originated from efforts in the early 1970s to preserve St. Mary’s Woods, a 180-acre area that the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) acquired in 1981. Miles of beautiful, well-maintained trails. Dogs are not permitted inside the park, allowing for frequent wildlife sightings ranging from deer to squirrels. I do wish there was a straightforward loop around the entire park.

Very well maintained park! Saw some wildlife too including a squirrel. Many of the walking paths are paved and the boardwalks are great. The visitor center is also good.

Loved the trails with easy access from the train. Beautiful haven in the middle of town. The people working the nature center were kind and helpful. My daughter and I both loved the trails. Great place. Does get muddy/puddled, so make sure to wear the right shoes.
