Located in the heart of Beaverton, McMillan Park offers a welcoming space for both families and pet owners. This community park features a dedicated dog area, making it popular among local dog lovers. While not fully fenced, the dog park offers plenty of open green space for dogs to socialize and play off-leash. There are shady trees, a creek, a walking path, and easy access to plenty of green grassy areas, perfect for a game of fetch or a relaxing walk. The adjoining playground and picnic spots make it especially pet- and family-friendly, so parents can keep an eye on both children and pets at the same time.
Pet parents at McMillan Park benefit from amenities such as poop bag stations, benches, and shade, creating a comfortable environment for you and your pup. The park is well-loved for its peaceful vibe, accessibility, and beautiful natural surroundings, including a creek and mature trees. However, visitors should be aware that the dog area is only fenced on three sides, and the terrain can get muddy or uneven after rain. With its vibrant local community and proximity to restaurants and the library, McMillan Park is one of the top spots for dog-friendly recreation and leisure in Beaverton.
I am thankful that such a beautiful park exists nestled among the busy streets, and love consistently seeing people walking their dogs 🐕❤️
Grew up in the neighborhood there. I like the updated playground but the park could use just a little more spicing up…
This park is somewhat hidden amongst thoroughfares, Hwy 10, Western Ave, and Jameson Road, but it’s got a few unique standouts to put it a bit above the average park.
There’s decent play equipment, an almost hidden creek on the South side, a little bridge, tennis courts, and an open grassy area with two enormous trees whose branches can almost be reached by a little kid.
It’s a great place to hang out at before or after a meal at any of the nearby restaurants.
Beautiful neighborhood park with play structure, green space, tennis courts, and paved loop walking/biking path complete with bridge across a rambling stream. Lovely!
Pretty great park. Trash is left around sometimes and water hemlock grows along the creek in late summer. Other than that the wild blackberries, cherries, plumbs, and service berries are fun to forage for with my kid.
