Channing Heights Park Dog Park in Beaverton, OR

Channing Heights Park offers dog owners in Beaverton, OR a welcoming, community-oriented space for their pets to enjoy the outdoors. The designated off-leash area is fully fenced and surfaced with bark chips, allowing dogs to run freely and socialize safely. While the dog park isn’t particularly large, it’s well-suited for smaller breeds and those seeking a quieter setting. Owners will find shade from mature trees, a few benches for resting, and a friendly neighborhood vibe that keeps people coming back for more.

Located in close proximity to the children’s playground and other park amenities, Channing Heights Park makes it easy for parents to watch over their kids and pups simultaneously. The entrance features a double-gate for added security, and while there was previously a separate section for small dogs, this has now been combined into one mixed-size area. Water access is generally available just outside the fence, but it’s best to bring your own during seasonal shut-offs. With its convenient location, ample shade, picnic benches, and grassy spaces, this pet-friendly park is a great spot to relax in Beaverton with the whole family—human and canine alike!

Nice park with shade trees. Play structure only has one pretty slow slide so it was not as fun for little kids.

We enjoy taking the kids and our husky here. They have the coolest park ever. I can let my dog play in a fenced in area and let her run wild and free, while at an eye distance I can stay close while my kids play next to the dog fence area. Or my spouse and I swap by watching our kids while the other stays with our husky. But this park is the best. Hope Washington County can make more parks just like this. Dog fenced close to the kids playground so us parents can keep a close eye and if anything happens we are at a running distance to safe our children. What they can also do is. Fence all around put a fence boarder to divide kids from our furry kids, but yet in the same fenced area. Like this park has for small, large, and mixed sized dogs. Just a suggestion and idea for a better safer park for single parents that need to keep eyes peeled in all directions.

Gorgeous small park with a play structure, basketball court, picnic benches, grassy fields, and a bridge. Located right behind an elementary school so sometimes there are kids but otherwise only one or two people in the whole park. Every time I’ve gone I’ve also seen the cute neighborhood corgi taking a walk.
