made my appointment last week and thought it was for tomorrow, they called to see if I forgot and took me today anyway! They were so nice and patient with my kodi, toy poodle that can be difficult while being groomed, I am so happy with the job they did and will be taking him there for his future grooming for sure!! Thanks so much!!
I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent grooming service for my dog that took place today 10:00AM 9/14/2024. I noticed several issues that were not up to the standard I had expected. Despite my specific request for a LIGHT trim around her butt area & cutting her paw pad fur.
1: They completely shaved her butt area!!!
2: Left her coat uneven & patchy in some areas.
3: Trimmed all her cute feathering / all around her when I specifically asked not to. We’re trying to let her fur grow out since she is a mini long hair doxin and her fur grows slow.
I drove back to get a refund & the manager did give me ? back (her groom cost ?.61) I told him this was unacceptable & he said “well that will grow back in about a week”. Also, when I went to pick her up after calling to see if she was almost ready, I get there & they had the door locked & told me they would be right there. Are you kidding me? That’s so sketchy! We will not be returning.
I’ve given Carole’s Pet Grooming two chances, and unfortunately, both experiences were deeply disappointing. The first time, my dogs were there for nine hours with no update or call to let me know they were done. They came home clearly dehydrated and visibly shaken.
I decided to give them another try, thinking it might’ve been a one-off. I even scheduled on their slowest day and asked that my dogs be done within four hours. It’s now been seven hours, and still no communication. Meanwhile, the owner has been sitting in his car the entire time and hasn’t stepped in to help. No apology, no explanation, not even a small gesture like a discount for the inconvenience or distress caused to my pets.
I rarely leave bad reviews, but I feel other pet owners should be aware. I genuinely hope this feedback encourages some improvements in communication, time management, and customer service.
I took my great Pyrenees mix to Carol’s grooming on July 1 of this year. I told them to shave the knots and to even her out when I arrived she was being handled very roughly and very quickly. They shaved her down to the point where she’s almost bald she’s a great Pyrenees. Do you know what this does to them? They also cut her ear hair so close there are two nics, one inside each ear in the flap. Plus she was there for 4 1/2 hours…. it borders on abuse. It reminded me of a factory line, one after the other after the other. very unhappy with Carol’s grooming, never again.
I could have combed her better than this, there’s a pic of her laying down after vs before the appt. You insisted my dog is a puppy and therefore you won’t cut her hair, but you kept her there for 5+ hours??????????
