Located in the heart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, City-Brooks Community Park is a top destination for dog owners seeking a beautiful, pet-friendly environment. This expansive park features shaded walking trails, gorgeous oak trees, and a well-equipped dog park, making it a favorite spot for both local residents and visitors. Whether you’re interested in dog-friendly hiking, exploring the park’s many amenities, or simply enjoying a day out with your furry friend, this is the place to be.
The dog park itself is sectioned for both small and large dogs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for pets of all sizes. Thoughtful touches like a dog wash/rinse area and plenty of shade make visiting even easier. There’s parking near the golf course, which is convenient for those driving in, and additional recreational options nearby such as tennis courts, a golf course, and art gallery, adding extra value for families and dog lovers alike.
Literally the best equipped dog park. Sectioned for big and small dogs. Thank God for the genius who thought of a dog wash/rinse area.
This is a very pretty partial park. Most of it is to the side of the streets and to the sides of the golf course that runs in the middle of it. This is a park more so for anyone looking to walk their pets, go golfing, play tennis or go to the art gallery. When the art gallery is open.
The Map directions might send you to the area of the park where you can’t park or it’s hard to get by. Just look at the actual spot of the park in the maps and follow the road there. The parking was located by the golfing area when I visited.
Enjoyed the course, 9 hole short course. No par 5’s. But you get a good bit of par 3s for practice. Gets jammed up easily though bc they don’t honor tee times and just let people play.
Gorgeous place to walk, run, or bike. There is a picnic area across the street near the dog park, too. The tennis courts looked nice and there is also a golf course. Beautiful Oak Trees all around.
I was downtown Baton Rouge Louisiana this was a nice place to visit. A lot of history there and the trees were spectacular
