Interesting location, with some history behind it. Apparently it has nothing to do with the independence itself, but with the former owner of the land which was very patriotic. There’s some news that say that the former maple farm was bought by the municipality after he passed away and the sign with the pledge of allegiance in the crossway was made by him and restored years later.
