Gorgeous wooded walking. I did just the Homestead loop, 2.75 miles. The trail was easy to follow and maneuver, though there was quite a bit of debris from the last snow storm. I’ll be going back often.

Great trail system, if the Forrest service would actually maintain it, I spent countless hours cutting trees that had fallen across the trail this spring so people could actually hike it.

Beautiful hiking in the Huron National Forest. Good for beginners. Slight elevation changes but nothing to drastic. Nice little lake with a couple of good camping spots. Rustic area vault bathrooms no running water but there is a hand pump to get your own water. Use to be four docks but last time I was there they’d been removed because of their condition but hadn’t been replaced.

Late afternoon hike on a foggy December day. We saw no one else but swans and a fair amount of beaver activity. Loved the rolling terrain. Great place to hike

A beautiful way to spend a couple of hours! I only did the front loop of almost 4 miles off M-72 at Kohler Rd, but what I saw were pretty well maintained trails considering the amount to maintain. Footing was well packed and firm, as opposed to sandy. Nice canopy cover and I was serenaded by Blue Jays almost the entire time. Didn’t see another soul around, even though there was another car in the parking lot.
