Riley’s Run Dog Park is a welcoming, pet-friendly destination in Bartlett, Illinois, designed for both local dog owners and their furry friends. Featuring two fully fenced areas—one for small dogs and another for large breeds—this park offers ample grassy space for your dog to run, play fetch, and socialize. A covered umbrella provides shade on sunny days, while water fountains are available for dogs and their owners (note: fountains may be off during winter or special circumstances). The park is wheelchair accessible, including both the entrance and parking lot, making it easy for everyone to visit.
Besides the dog park, the location includes a playground, a basketball court, tennis courts, and picnic tables, making it a great spot for families. Seating areas allow owners to relax while their dogs play, and there is agility-inspired play equipment like hoops and hydrants for dogs to enjoy. Well-maintained grounds and a clean environment make Riley’s Run Dog Park a popular, highly recommended spot for an afternoon of fun with your dog in Bartlett.
There are two sections of the dog park, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. They are connected by one fence side though. Very small basketball court and one tennis court with a fence that doesn’t close. Playground is an ok size for kids. Generally a very small park, but has a little bit of grass to run around in
I don’t have a dog but from what I see it has a umbrella for some nice shade it has lots of space and from the dogs that I’ve seen more space than the dogs use or need so there is probably more than enough space for your dog(s). It has a drinking fountain that also has a fountain for dogs to drink from which is definitely a plus. (the drinking fountain is off during the winter and currently due to the corona virus)
What is also good in principle is that there are 2 fenced of areas once for small dogs and one for larger dogs but I’ve seen many people with what I would consider a larger dog go into the smaller dog area with their dog. There are also some hoops and fire hydrants in the dog park for the dogs to play with but I never saw any dog use them.
As can be seen on the map there is a tennis court and a playground close by which can be something for family/friends to do while your watching your dog.
Very nice park to take your kids or play some basketball or tennis. Dog park is nice and open and it’s very well kept. Highly recommend spending an afternoon here!
