I love this park! I’ve been coming for years, and it feels like another home. The people are wonderful and welcoming. For the most part, the dogs are great. Just need to keep an eye on yours and follow the rules.
Barrington Dog Park in Rhode Island is a great spot for dog owners. It’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded area, giving it a peaceful vibe that both dogs and their owners will appreciate.
The park has a good amount of space, with separate areas for small and large dogs, which is nice for keeping things safe and fun. The open areas are perfect for letting your dog run around and socialize.
The park is generally well-maintained. You’ll find trash bins and waste bags, so it stays pretty clean. It’s a simple setup, but it gets the job done. There are benches for sitting, and some shade from the trees, but remember to bring water for your dog since there’s no water fountain.
The community here is really friendly. Regulars make it a nice place to meet other dog owners and set up playdates. Parking is also easy, with plenty of spots close to the entrance.
Overall, Barrington Dog Park is a great choice if you’re looking for a safe, clean place for your dog to play. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s got a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere that makes it a favorite with the locals.
I go to this dog park often. I would like to see both a large and small dog run, as of now there is only one large dog area. Also I would like to see the road to the parking area paved (this would be beneficial to all) many potholes to dodge. For the most part the dog families that visit are kind and happy.
I’ve been bringing my dogs to this park for years. Very large spacious area surrounded by woods and a ball field. A single area for both large and small dogs that is a combination of mulch and grass. It is well maintained. They have poop bags but BYO water. Friendly dogs and friendly people. With a water source it would be 5 stars.
This is a very nice park. It’s located around the outfield of the softball field.
Mulched entrance where the grass has died out, but decent grass elsewhere in the space.
Entrances and exits from the fields side and the woods/trails side of the park.
No water and trash bins are ONLY for poop. Only one section, no division by size.
People and dogs were friendly and welcoming. Very limited permanent seating, so bring a chair if you want to sit.
Parking lot had a portapotty.
