Clear info, big sign on the road made it easy to find. Spur trail is interesting. A few day hikers on the weekends.

This is a good parking location for your long hike. To the east about 3 miles is a grocery store for resupply. To the west, about a mile and a half, two restaurants.

We had a lovely hickey with beautiful wooded scenic views. However, both my fiance and I spent 45 minutes pulling ticks off our husky and had to change our clothes at the trailhead before getting our vehicle to go home.

Beautiful hiking trail! However, if you are coming with dogs beware of ticks. We spent over an hour picking ticks out of our dogs fur afterwards and ended up stopping at the nearby dollar general for tick treatment/combs.
