A beautiful and easy loop trail, that is great for all ages. The wild leeks are amazing to see in late July through early August.
What a gem! Love this spot! We recently discovered Paint Creek State Park and all that’s around it. I highly recommend exploring.
Short trail about half mile. The first half of it takes you near the creek which is beautiful then the last half is wooded but still great scenery. Dog friendly.
We were looking for a short but shaded hike to walk our dog on the way back from Chillicothe to Cincinnati and found this great little trail in Paint Creek State Park. It is a little under a mile including the walk from the parking lot. It was entirely shaded meandering through a narrow gorge with large trees. The walls of the gorge are maybe 50 to 60 feet high with lots of paw paw trees in the understory. It is almost level with only a ten foot elevation change. Great hike if you are out that way.
The trail is only half a mile long but has much to see.
