Ayer Dog Park is one of the premier off-leash dog parks in Ayer, Massachusetts, featuring clean, well-maintained grounds and separate areas for small and large dogs. With its wheelchair accessible entrance and parking, the park welcomes everyone—and with ample waste stations, doggie bags, and water fountains (operational seasonally), it’s designed to make visits easy for both you and your pet.
This dog-friendly park is perfect for dogs who love to explore or for owners looking for pet-friendly trails and spaces to socialize. Shaded seating areas and benches provide comfort for owners while their dogs enjoy the gravel surface—keeping paws cleaner than mud. It’s a go-to spot in the area for those with dogs of all sizes, particularly appreciated for its dedicated small dog area and the community’s attention to cleanliness and safety.
Huge park! Poop bags, water fountains, separate areas for large and small dogs. Even a fire hydrant!!
Clean well maintained space, has a large and a small enclosed space, waste bags and trash receptacles provided👍
Very clean and had tons of little nooks to explore. I really like the the doggie water fountain and shaded seating area. There is an additional area for dogs 35lbs and under if size is a concern. Doggie bags provided on site ☺️
Our dog loves this place, two areas, smaller area for little dogs, plenty of pails for refuse, water gets turned on in May. Plenty of toys and the gravel area keeps the dogs paws cleaner
Pros: Public dog park. Water fountain. Small dog area.
Cons: No shade. Only water fountain in small dog area works. The pebbles used aren’t great for running around since it isn’t a firm surface.
