Friendship Dog Park is a welcoming, pet-friendly park located at 12353 W McDowell Rd in Avondale, Arizona. This local favorite offers plenty of green space for dogs to play, as well as amenities that make it a great destination for both families and pet owners. The park features wheelchair accessible entrances and parking, plenty of room to walk your dog, a nearby playground for kids, picnic tables, barbecue grills, and public restrooms. It’s a popular spot for community members looking for dog-friendly outdoor adventures in the West Valley area.
While the park is convenient for families and those seeking accessible facilities, reviews note a lack of a designated area for small dogs and that the grounds can become muddy after rain due to drainage issues. There are also challenges with maintenance and some visitors not cleaning up after their pets. Nonetheless, parking is plentiful, and with so many family-friendly amenities nearby, it’s an accessible option for enjoying time with both your kids and canine companions.
It’s nice to go take a walk. It also has a kids’ playground plenty of parking space
It was an okay dog park. I won’t be bringing my puppy back there! Probably not.
No designated area for only small dogs, and people are very inconsiderate and have multiple big dogs in all the areas. If your “small” dog does not do well with big dogs this is not the place. People are quick to be like “it’s ok they are friendly”but I will not take my chances just because people are inconsiderate.
Quaint dog park l. It’s a shame Noone was there when we were. Definitely pleanty of dog owners that do not clean up after their dogs.
The dog park used to be great, but the lack of maintenance has turned the grass into dirt and anytime they water the soccer fields it floods the dog park turning it into mud with a big mud hole next to the picnic table and next to the water fountain meaning I have to give a muddy dog a ride home.
